Cyber-Bully...

What Could Happen If You Cyber-bully

Cyber bullies could be sent to jail for up to three years under new Government proposals aimed at protecting victims of online bullying. It would also be an offence to send messages and post material online that was grossly offensive, indecent, obscene, menacing or knowingly false, punishable by up to three months imprisonment or a $2000 fine.

                                  What Is Cyber Bullying?
The Internet and mobile technology are very powerful. But if misused, they can also be dangerous to yourself and others. Most of the time we make sure that people are old enough and pass special tests before they drive cars, operate heavy machinery or otherwise use potentially powerful technology. This is for their safety and the safety of others.

What Can Cyberbullying do to you?
# threats,
# sending provocative insults or racial or ethnic slurs,
# gay-bashing,
# spreading rumors, lies and inappropriate photos,
# attempting to infect the victim's computer with a virus, and flooding an e-mail inbox with nonsense messages.

                                                                    What is cyberbullying?
Cyberbullying, as defined by Whatis.com, is use of email, instant messaging, chat rooms, pagers, cell phones, or other forms of technology to deliberately harass, threaten, or intimidate someone. Bullies can hide behind an electronic veil, disguising their true identity. This makes it difficult to trace the source, and encourages bullies to behave more aggressively than they might face-to-face.
